Dr. K. B. Joshi was born in Dev Bhoomi Almora(Uttrakhand). He grew up and completed his schooling in a small town area named Kaladhungi Chakaluwa district Nainital. He studied M.Sc. Organic Chemistry in M.B.G.P.G college Haldwani, Kumaun University Nainital. He did his Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) under the supervision of renowned scientist Prof. Sandeep Verma in 2008. He then moved to Germany in March 2009 and worked with Alexander Heckle as a prestigious Alexander von Humboldt research fellow (AvH) at Goethe University Frankfurt-Germany till 2011. He further continued with the same group and worked as a senior postdoctoral fellow till Dec. 2012. Since Sep 2013 he is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of chemistry of Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University) Sagar. His research interests lie in the areas of organic synthesis, solid and solution phase synthesis of modified/unmodified peptides and nucleic acids conjugates and atamers· Application of nanotechnology in Chemical Biology and Medicinal Chemistry followed by synthesis of bioinspired peptide and nucleic acid-based drug design and its applications is his main research theme· He is currently engaged in developing state of the art microscopic techniques to find out unusual self-assembly behavior and its applications.
